What is dispatch software for contractors?

What is the difference between scheduling and dispatch?
Scheduling decides which crew works which job on which day. Dispatch runs that day: moving a job to another crew, fitting in a new call, and making sure the crew knows the next stop and the homeowner knows you are coming. Revcore handles both on the same jobs.
Does Revcore optimize routes?
No. Revcore does not reorder stops or plan routes for you. You put jobs on the crew board, the job map shows where the job sites are so you can group nearby work, and the crew gets directions to their next stop from their phone.
Can I see the day's jobs on a map?
Yes. The job map pins every job site and colors it by status: done, booked, or quoted. It shows job sites, not crews. We do not track crews on a map. The job map is on Pro and Scale.
What do crews see on their phones?
Their Workday card: clock in and clock out, the next stop with directions, and the jobs up next. When the office moves a job on the crew board, the crew's day updates.
How does GPS clock-in work?
When a crew clocks in or out, Revcore takes a single location reading and checks it against the job site. It does not track crews between clock in and clock out. GPS clock-in is on Pro and Scale.
Do homeowners get a heads-up before we arrive?
Yes. Revcore sends an appointment confirmation when the job is booked and a reminder before the appointment, automatically. Replies come back into two-way texting on the job.
Do the reminder texts cost extra?
No. Confirmations and reminders by text use the two-way texting included on every plan: 100 texts a month on Starter, 250 on Pro, and 1,500 on Scale. Past your allotment, texts are $0.04 each.
