Qualify before you burn a half day on the drive.

A short form is right for a phone number. A survey is right when you need to know the scope, the timeline, and whether they own the house before anyone gets in a truck. Same embed code, more questions, asked one step at a time so people finish them.

Ask more without losing the homeowner halfway through.

Break it into steps people will finish.

A long list of fields on one page gets abandoned. A survey moves through a few questions at a time, which is why it can ask more than a contact form ever could.

  • Multiple steps instead of one intimidating page
  • Your own custom fields alongside the standard ones
  • As many surveys as you need, one per service if you want

Fewer wasted trips, better first calls.

The point of qualifying up front is not to filter people out. It is to walk into the first conversation already knowing what the job is, which makes the call shorter, the estimate faster, and the drive worth making.

  • Know the scope. The service, the size, and the timeline before you call.
  • Know the fit. Whether it is in your area and your kind of work.
  • Skip the discovery call. Start from what they already told the survey.

How is a survey different from a form?

A form is short and asks for the basics. A survey walks through more questions across multiple steps, which is what you want when the answers decide whether the job is worth driving out for.

Can I embed a survey on my own website?

Yes. Surveys get their own embed code and go onto the site you already own, the same way a form does. You can also send a link if you would rather not embed it.

Where do the answers end up?

On the contact record in RevCore, including any custom fields the survey populates, so the next person to touch the lead can see what was already asked and answered.

Can the answers change what happens next?

Yes. Responses can route the lead to the right person and branch the follow-up, so an urgent replacement and a general maintenance question do not get treated the same way.

Will a longer survey cost me leads?

Some, and that is usually the trade you want. A survey is for the moments when knowing the scope up front is worth more than a slightly higher submission count. Keep a short form on the pages where volume matters more.

Estimates used to mean measuring, shooting photos, then two hours in Excel after dinner and a PDF emailed two days later. Half of those people had already signed with whoever quoted first. Now I build the good-better-best options in the truck and walk the homeowner through them at the kitchen table the same visit. Most sign right there, and the deposit clears before I'm off the street.
