Three generations of pools
Her grandfather, Rafael, started Blue Cove Pools in 1971. Her father added the service division. Gloria took over in 2019 and inherited fifty years of customers, loyal crews, and a filing system that only her father understood.
A pool build takes months and has a dozen phases. Homeowners called constantly, payments were collected by phone call, and the service division lived in a separate system from the builds.

Why she switched
She wanted one place for builds and service, with the homeowner able to see where their pool stood without calling. And she wanted every build phase billed when it finished, not when someone remembered.
Now each build is one job record with phases, photos, and payments. Homeowners follow along in their portal. Service plans live in the same system as the builds, so a build customer becomes a service customer without re-entering anything.
“We have fifty years of customers. I wasn't going to lose them to a filing cabinet.”
What changed at work
Her designers present pool packages at the kitchen table and the homeowner signs with a deposit. Progress payments go out as each phase is marked done.
The office stopped spending mornings on "where is my pool" calls, because the answer is already in the portal with photos.

What changed at home
Her son is a junior looking at colleges, and her daughter swims competitively, which in her family feels like fate.
Gloria made it to every one of her daughter's meets this season. Her dad still comes to some too, and still asks about the filing cabinets.

“My dad still asks where the filing cabinets went. They went to the curb.”
