After the water
In 2017, Harvey put four feet of water in Curtis's house in Kingwood. He was a commercial project manager then. His family waited five months for a contractor who kept not showing up.
He rebuilt his own house, then his neighbor's, then half the street. Restore Right Restoration started in his garage in 2018. It now runs three locations around Houston.

Why he switched
Restoration lives and dies on documentation. Adjusters want photos of everything, homeowners want to know what is happening, and three locations were running three different ways.
Now every job starts with photos on the job record from the first visit, estimates go out with options for what insurance covers and what the homeowner can upgrade, and homeowners follow the rebuild in their portal.
“Five months waiting on a contractor who didn't show. I built this company so nobody waits like that.”
What changed at work
All three locations run the same way, and Curtis sees one set of reports instead of three spreadsheets. Supplements and change orders are signed before the work, not argued about after.
His location managers make decisions without calling him, because the numbers are in front of them too.

What changed at home
Curtis and his wife, Donna, rebuilt the same house Harvey flooded. Their daughter got married in the backyard last spring.
He was not on the phone once during the wedding. He checked.

“Three locations used to run three different ways. Now I get one set of numbers.”
