Lake homes need a different approach
Mooresville has more waterfront homes than any other town on Lake Norman. Many lake houses on the Brawley School peninsula and in The Point were built large, with high ceilings, walls of glass and walkout basements. They often run several systems and deal with steady humidity from the water, especially in lower levels.
Some are second homes that sit empty for weeks at a time. For those we recommend a whole-home dehumidifier, a smart thermostat you can check from anywhere, and a water sensor near the indoor unit so a clogged drain does not go unnoticed.
Growing subdivisions and older mill homes
Away from the water, Mooresville has grown quickly with new subdivisions like Morrison Plantation and Curtis Pond. These homes usually have attic systems and are built tight, which is good for efficiency but can trap moisture and stale air without proper ventilation.
Near downtown Mooresville, the historic mill village and older homes have compact systems, crawl spaces and ductwork added over the years. We service both, and we can usually tell you within one visit whether your comfort problems come from the equipment or the ducts. We will show you what we found either way.
