Heating and air service in Matthews

Established neighborhoods with aging systems

Much of Matthews was built out in the 1980s and 1990s. Neighborhoods like Sardis Forest, Matthews Plantation and Brightmoor are full of two-story homes on crawl spaces, many now on their second or third air conditioner. That age brings recurring issues: worn ductwork under the house, attic insulation that has settled, and upstairs bedrooms that never quite cool down.

When those original gas furnaces reach the end of their life, many Matthews homeowners choose a dual-fuel setup. A heat pump handles most of the year and the existing gas line keeps the furnace as backup for cold nights.

Near downtown Matthews and beyond

Closer to downtown Matthews and the Four Mile Creek Greenway, older ranch homes and small bungalows often have compact systems in tight spaces. Out toward Stallings and the Union County line, newer subdivisions have attic systems with long flex duct runs.

We see a lot of pollen-season calls here too. The tree canopy that makes Matthews so pleasant also clogs outdoor coils each spring. A coil cleaning in April is one of the simplest ways to keep your system efficient through a long summer, and it is included in every Comfort Club spring visit.

Comfort Club

Been in the Comfort Club three years. Last August our upstairs unit quit on a Saturday and they had someone here that afternoon with no overtime charge. The spring and fall tune-ups get scheduled for me, which I would never remember on my own.

Ductwork

Upstairs was always hot. Another company told us we needed a second system. Calloway tested airflow, found crushed flex duct in the attic and a missing return in the master. Fixed both for a fraction of what a new system would have cost.

New system

Got three quotes. Calloway was not the cheapest, but they were the only ones who did a real load calculation and included a new line set, permits and a 10-year labor warranty. Six months in, the house is more comfortable than it has ever been.

Response from the owner

Connor, thank you for taking the time to compare carefully. That is exactly how we hope people shop, and we are glad the house feels right.

HVAC in Matthews.

Still wondering? Call (704) 555-0164, a real person answers.

Do you charge extra to come to Matthews?

No. Matthews is part of our core service area, so there is no trip surcharge. You pay the same diagnostic fee and flat-rate repair prices as customers in Charlotte.

My Matthews home has ducts in the crawl space. Can you help?

Yes. Many homes in Sardis Forest, Matthews Plantation and nearby neighborhoods have crawl space ducts. We inspect, seal and repair them, and replace sections that have sagged or been damaged.

Is a dual-fuel system a good fit for Matthews?

Often, yes. Many Matthews homes already have gas. Pairing a heat pump with your gas furnace can lower heating costs while keeping strong heat on the coldest nights.

Comfortable again, today.

Same-day repair when you book before noon on a weekday, upfront prices, and a real person 24/7.
