Sun City, Wolf Ranch and the newer north side
Sun City Texas, built from the mid-1990s onward, holds many of the roofs we replace in Georgetown. Most are single-story homes with long, low-pitched slopes, and residents often want the work done quickly, quietly and with very clean sites. Our one-day installs suit that well, and our project managers walk each homeowner through the finished roof.
Wolf Ranch, Berry Creek, Georgetown Village and Cimarron Hills are newer or golf course communities with active HOAs and stone-heavy exteriors. Many original roofs there are 15 to 25 years old, and several areas took significant hail in recent springs. Upgrading to Class 4 impact-rated shingles is the most common request we get on the north side of town.
Old Town and historic review
Georgetown has a well-preserved historic core, and homes in its historic overlay districts may need approval from the city's Historic and Architectural Review Commission before exterior changes such as new roofing materials. We prepare the application, including photos and product details, and plan the schedule around the review.
Older Georgetown homes often have board decking, low attic ventilation and metal or shingle roofs over earlier layers. We inspect carefully during tear-off, replace damaged boards and suggest ventilation changes that respect the home's original appearance. Low-profile vents and color-matched metal keep the roof line looking the way it did a century ago.
